About Aimee
Aimee Kent is an award winning surface pattern designer with a BA Honours Degree in textile design. Aimee studied textiles at both Glasgow Clyde College and The Glasgow School of Art. She has fifteen years + of experience working in highly creative, competitive and fast paced design studio environments, from interiors, luxury lifestyle and high end fashion markets, to corporate workwear textile and fashion design industries.
Since 2010, Aimee has worked on a number of high profile printed textile commissions for fashion designers, accessory brands and agencies including Henrietta Ludgate, Niki Taylor (of labels Olanic and The Top Project), Johari, Fab.com, Wrag Wrap, Marc Ross, EMI Music, Nineteenth Amendment X Macy’s (NYC), the Love Your Clothes campaign, Zero Waste Scotland, The Partners, Goose Design, Clydesdale Bank, Yorkshire Bank and more.
Aimee is passionate about creating unique and vibrant patterns inspired by her birthplace, Africa, her travels, nature and her daily surroundings. Her designs are not only on trend but trend setting - having been featured in many high profile publications including WGSN, British Vogue, Vogue.it, ELLE, Marie Claire and Arts Thread to name a few.
She prides herself on her versatility as an artist and her print patterns work equally well across a broad range of surfaces - from fashion textiles and interiors e.g. wallpaper, soft furnishings, curtains, to accessories, stationery, tech cases and wrapping paper - the options are limitless.
